Bridge Team Serving Application

Thank you for your interest in serving here at Church At The Bridge. Below you will find the requirements needed to serve in a Ministry Area. Please read each one carefully.

Bridge Team Requirements

• Must be a regular attendee for at least one month: We want to know that you are connected with the body of believers here at Church At The Bridge and that you have an understanding and fully support the vision and purpose that God has given us.
• Must attend services regularly: We are not interested in you just serving; we want to help you grow into a thriving relationship with Christ and the body of believers here at the Church, so we require that you attend services when you are not serving.
• Commit to the service schedule: If your application is accepted, you’ll scheduled to serve at least twice a month on a team unless otherwise noted. (some areas may require fewer or more days)
• Commit to watching the “Honor’s Reward” videos by John Bevere: Our culture here at Church At The Bridge honors God. We want to ensure that everyone who serves here at the Church understands the “honor principle,” so each month, you will be sent a video link via our monthly newsletter. We ask that you watch the video and answer three simple questions afterward.
• Get plugged into a Connect Group: Small groups are an integral part of what we do here at Church At The Bridge, and we encourage all those serving to attend a group when they are in session regularly.
• You must have access to text messaging on a cell phone and an email address. This is our primary source of communication with all those who serve. We will send you a service request, and you must be able to respond to it via your phone or email.
• Agree to an interview and an audition (if applicable): Once we receive your application, a Church staff member will contact you for a phone interview.
• Complete the Ministry Area of Interest Form and Ministry Application

Below, you will find our current Ministry Departments. Each area below requires all the above, and specific requirements are noted next to each:
• Bridge Kids: Must like to work with children and agree to a background check.
• Link’d Students Ministry: Must like to work with youth and agree to a background check.
• Service Dept.: Must have a heart to serve others and be detailed oriented.
• Worship Dept.: Must possess vocal/instrumental skills and commit to attending rehearsals.
• Creative Dept.: Must be very detail-oriented and work well under pressure.
• Connect Group Leader: Must be part of a connect group for a minimum of three consecutive sessions before becoming a leader.
• Connect Group Host: Willing to open your home and host the group.
• Community Outreach: Willingness to serve in community events and outreach efforts.

Please Note: You can serve in an area of ministry and also be part of the Community Outreach Team.

Ministry Serving Application

Purpose: The Ministry/Volunteer Application assists Church At The Bridge, Inc. in appointing the best possible individuals to serve within the various ministries the Church offers. This application is part of a screening process that protects the volunteers while protecting the Church from liability. Once turned in, this record becomes the property of Church At The Bridge, Inc.

Policy: Church At The Bridge, Inc. requires all information on this Ministry/Volunteer Application. The information on this form shall be kept strictly confidential and become permanent records of Church At The Bridge, Inc.

Instructions: Please complete the entire application and sign at the bottom. The application will not be accepted without a signature. If your area of interest is serving within our Children/Youth Department, you must complete Section VII of this application and agree to a background check. If you are not volunteering to serve in our Children/Youth Department, skip section VII and proceed to Section VIII.

The information contained in this form is current to the best of my knowledge. I understand that this is strictly a volunteer position, and I expect no remuneration for services and time volunteered. I authorize any persons giving a reference or churches listed in the form to disclose information that they may have regarding my character and fitness for serving in a volunteer position. I waive any right that I may have to inspect any information provided about me by any person or organization identified by me in the application. I herby relate any individual, Church At The Bridge, Inc., or organization from any and all liability for damages which may result to me , my heirs, or family for compliance with this authorization, and agree that the church may maintain this information. My signature on this form confirms my understanding and agreement that: In the event that allegations of criminal or sexual misconduct arise regarding my conduct while I serve in a volunteer capacity, the church will fully cooperate with any investigation. I further state that I have carefully read the foregoing release and understand the contents thereof, and that I sign release as my own free act. This is a legally binding agreement, which I have read and understand. Should my Application be accepted, I agree to refrain from unscriptual conduct in the performance of my services on behlaf of Church At The Bridge Inc.
